Job Opportunity: Intermediate Designer at Our London Studio

Join our collaborative, creative, and professional team, where we value skill, daring, leadership, humor, and a love of interiors. We are seeking an Intermediate Designer to support our projects in the London studio. Working under the supervision of senior staff and collaborating with junior designers, the role involves project administration, design development, and preparing contract documents.

Responsibilities:

  1. Complete technical drawings under the guidance of senior designers.
  2. Develop design ideas in collaboration with the team.
  3. Review engineering drawings to ensure design compliance.
  4. Assist in selecting fixtures and finishes.
  5. Develop preliminary space plans.
  6. Propose details for interior design projects.
  7. Research and gather details for furniture and finish cost estimates.
  8. Create preliminary plans.
  9. Verify site details to support design efforts.
  10. Assist in field surveying of client spaces.
  11. Gather pricing information from manufacturers and representatives.
  12. Support junior designers and assist in client assessments, including attending interviews and supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

– Degree in architecture or design.

– 3+ years of experience, preferably with corporate workplace and hospitality interior projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with space planning methodology.
  • Knowledge of furnishings and finishes.
  • Intermediate sketching and rendering skills.
  • Knowledge of construction documents and procedures.
  • Understanding of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
  • Advanced skills in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic skills in the Affinity Program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective presentation and graphic communication skills.
