Interaction Designer – SC Clearance Desired.

What you\’ll need to succeed

My client is looking for an experienced Interaction Designer to join the organisation on an initial 3-month contract. The client operates in a hybrid environment. Candidates are requested in the office at 40% of the week. SC Clearance is desired but not essential.

About the role:

The client has roles across a few portfolios, including the Export and Investment Portfolio. This role would suit someone with a strong background in either UX, visual or product design. The client is currently undergoing the process of redesigning and trying to enhance the products/services that are its component parts and, as such, needs an Interaction Designer that can push the boundaries on visual design elements while also contributing to wider strategic aims.

This role would suit someone that has experience working in the Business to Business and Business to Customer sectors, has a background in visual design but is heavily focused on outcomes. This role will not suit someone that has spent many years working on transactional government services.

Another portfolio is the Trading Environment portfolio. The client requires an Interaction Designer with strong experience of designing for transactional government services and internal caseworking systems used by Civil Servants.

A core function of this role will be to develop and mentor 4 designers and work towards a more cohesive design language for a suite of transaction services, internal tools and communication channels for a group of products/services that fundamentally are about the application for and the granting of certain licenses for export.

This role would suit someone that has experience working in government services, business to business or software as a service/product. They should have previous management/mentoring experience, demonstrate knowledge of design systems and work on multiple projects.
