The Role:
The Insolvency Team acts for insolvency practitioners as well as companies and individuals: directors, partners, sole traders, creditors, debtors, and their spouses, mainly in the East of England region but also further afield.
The team is predominantly known for their contentious recovery work, acting for insolvency practitioners and defending directors. However, to enhance their offering, they seek an ambitious Solicitor who will manage and develop their non-contentious work, alongside a caseload of contentious matters.
This role comes with excellent career progression prospects, allowing you to build, lead, and develop a team whilst offering a clear and structured pathway to Partnership.
The ideal candidate:
- Insolvency Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE
- Experience in advising and assisting relevant stakeholders with all aspects of insolvency work, including non-contentious insolvency instructions. In particular, you will have dealt with the restructuring and sale of businesses as well as be competent in drafting the necessary transactional paperwork.
- Ideally, you will have JIEB qualification, although not essential
- Confidence in delegating work to junior fee earners
- Willingness to be involved with business development and growth of the department
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver outstanding legal services
