We have been instructed to seek out a high-caliber Insolvency Manager for a specialist Insolvency practice in Watford. You will be responsible for managing a team alongside a Senior Manager, Directors, and Partners to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of corporate insolvency cases.
The Role:
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to staff on a portfolio of insolvency cases, including ADMs, ADRs, CVLs, CWUs, CVAs, IVAs, and BKYs.
- Complete all statutory tasks and formalities in accordance with set deadlines, maintaining an effective diary system.
- Contribute to the training and development of team members, setting goals and targets and ensuring they are achieved.
- Review progress on cases regularly.
- Maximize asset realizations and ensure recoveries are pursued proactively and cost-effectively.
- Manage the team’s WIP effectively.
- Review directors’ disqualification reports and assist with complex D1 returns.
- Chair creditors’ meetings when required.
- Oversee the effective use of IPS and case diaries.
- Work closely with and instruct professional agents and solicitors.
- Engage in business development by introducing new work providers to the firm.
- Mentor Trainees proactively.
Requirements:
- Ideally CPI Qualified, but not essential.
- Studying towards or already qualified for the JIEB examination.
- Previous experience managing a team responsible for corporate recovery cases.
- Excellent compliance skills.
- Proficient in advanced IT tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Virtual Cabinet, and IPS, with the ability to train others.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing own time and costs, as well as overseeing team activities.
- Ability to build a network of contacts and referrers internally and externally.
- Skilled in converting options into recommendations and resolutions.
- Develop presentation and technical training skills.
- 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays; your birthday is also given as a holiday, totaling 34 days holiday annually.
