Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a leading organisation as they search for an Individual Giving Manager to support them for a fantastic 12-month FTC.
The Individual Giving Manager plays a key role in enhancing donor engagement and maximising supporter contributions by developing and implementing a comprehensive donor development strategy. This role focuses on deepening relationships with individual donors, increasing their financial support, and fostering long-term loyalty. The Individual Giving Manager oversees all donor communications for supporters and manages the stewardship programme to ensure meaningful and effective interactions with donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the donor journey for supporters.
- Oversee donor communications, including direct mail campaigns, stewardship emails, thank-you letters, and digital content.
- Coordinate the production and distribution of donor engagement materials, such as newsletters and emergency appeals.
- Implement donor development initiatives that increase financial contributions.
- Monitor and analyse donor behaviour to optimise fundraising campaigns and enhance supporter retention.
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure the successful execution of fundraising appeals.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and line management support to the Supporter Development Officer.
- Oversee outsourced fundraising suppliers, ensuring they deliver impactful results aligned with organisational goals.
- Manage the supporter development budget, ensuring financial tracking and reporting are accurate and timely.
- Evaluate the success of campaigns through data analysis, donor insights, and competitor benchmarking.
- Report performance metrics to senior stakeholders to guide strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Digital, Communications, and Fundraising Operations, to ensure integrated and consistent donor engagement strategies.
- Represent the organisation in external and international working groups, providing insight into donor development trends and best practices.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in individual giving, donor development, or direct marketing within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Strong track record in planning and delivering fundraising campaigns that increase donor loyalty and financial contributions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor engagement materials.
- Experience in managing budgets and analysing fundraising data to drive strategy.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and professional development.
- Experience working with CRM systems and data segmentation for targeted donor outreach.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations and data protection laws.
- Previous experience in managing external suppliers and agencies to deliver marketing campaigns.
