Will you be our next HQ Volunteering Manager?
Responsible to: Head of Volunteering Services
Department: Volunteering Operations Department
Base Location: Gilwell Park or Homebased
If Gilwell based contract, the expectation would be to come into the office once a week, plus one day a month for collaboration with wider team.
If home based contract, then expectation is once every 4-6 weeks.
Term: Permanent
Salary: Grade F – £39,560 per annum (Gilwell based, inclusive of Outer London Weighting)
Hours: 35 hours per week – Evening work expected a few evenings per month.
About the role
The Volunteering Services team supports volunteers across the movement, including the support centre, awards, grants, events & contingents, and HQ volunteer support.
The team is diverse, offering opportunities to learn about different functions and how they collaborate. The role involves supporting UK volunteer leadership through recruitment, induction, and development of volunteers.
This position provides an opportunity to assist volunteer line managers with recruitment, induction, training, and recognition at HQ. You will work closely with the UK Volunteer Support Team to improve systems, processes, and guidance, ensuring they are efficient and welcoming.
You will join a positive, supportive, collaborative team dedicated to creating a great working environment for staff and volunteers alike.
