Our client, based in Brixton, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary rate on offer is up to £42,000 per annum , depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent experience working as a Housing Officer and be willing to have an enhanced DBS taken out on appointment.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a patch of 350 properties
- Dealing with low to medium level ASB
- Ensuring that management of void properties is carried in line with allocation policy and voids procedures, to minimise void rent loss and other costs
- Managing the allocations process including nominations, mutual exchanges, and transfers ensuring the voids and lettings systems are maintained on the Housing Management System
- Providing tenancy management services to ensure all tenants adhere to agreements
- Carrying out new tenant visits, mutual exchanges, and termination of tenancies
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience working with customers within housing
- Experience of medium to low level ASB
- Experience of dealing with all aspects of tenancy management
- Excellent customer service skills; experience dealing with difficult tenants
