HGV Workshop Supervisor
Location: Scunthorpe
Day shifts: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm
Salary: £50,000 + Benefits
Overtime Available
We are working with an industry-leading specialist who has been operating for over 75 years. Due to an imminent retirement, they are looking for a Workshop Supervisor to lead their busy depot in Scunthorpe.
The role will predominantly be on the tools with around 20-30% of the time being office-based.
HGV Workshop Supervisor Duties Will Include:
- The HGV Workshop Supervisor will have responsibility for the workshop, looking after an HGV Trailer Technician, an Apprentice with 4 years’ experience, and an Administrator.
- 70-80% Tools / 20-30% Office split.
- General office duties.
- General servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
- Vehicle inspections.
- Running defects.
- MOT preparation/presentation.
- Fault finding.
- Diagnostics.
- Knowledge of Hydraulics.
- Knowledge of Welding.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems.
- Extensive Trailer/Rigid Body experience.
The Successful HGV Workshop Supervisor Should Have:
- Industry-recognized qualifications, either City & Guilds or NVQ Level Three in HGV.
- Experience gained in a similar Workshop Supervisor role.
