Band 3, 14.1 hours per week. This is a permanent position involving 7-day working with a mix of daytime shift patterns from 8am to 8.30pm.

We are seeking an energetic and innovative healthcare support worker to join our Home First service. If you are passionate about supporting individuals to live independently at home following hospital discharge and motivated to help prevent hospital admissions by promoting independence, we want to hear from you.

You will be part of a team comprising Healthcare Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists. Your role will involve visiting clients in their homes to assist with daily tasks and implement Reablement Programmes prescribed by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. The primary goal is to enable individuals to do as much as they can for themselves, promoting activity and independence.

The work is varied and fast-paced. You will often work independently, visiting clients alone. If you enjoy helping people recover from injury or illness and working as part of a team, this role could be a good fit.

The successful candidate will be based mainly in the Central locality team, covering the Central/Tweeddale area, and must have access to a vehicle and a driving license.
