About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Compliance Manager to lead and manage health, safety, and facilities operations. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of health and safety, support the development of SHEQ approaches, and manage facilities and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Leadership: Lead health and safety initiatives. Ensure availability of Task Specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Provide H&S advice and assurance. Liaise with Principal Designers for refurbishment and CDM requirements. Lead on accident/incident reporting and RIDDOR reporting. Manage and monitor FRA actions. Conduct H&S inspections.
- SHEQ Development: Support SHEQ approaches using processes, work instructions, and quality assurance. Undertake site inspections for quality assurance.
- Facilities and Fleet Management: Manage stock keeping, inventories, vehicle checks, security monitoring, materials ordering, and payments. Ensure operatives, caretakers, and cleaners have relevant PPE. Support the move to a zero and low carbon fleet. Ensure adequate supplies of PPE and signage. Manage emergency stock for Out of Hours emergencies.
- Facilities Management and Cleaning: Manage facilities and property safety management, including cleaning and repairs. Lead on PPM for business studios. Ensure efficient use of storage and disposal of bulk waste.
- General Responsibilities: Support the setup and rollout of new systems for repairs services. Respond to residents’ queries, complaints, and compliments professionally. Train colleagues in relevant software for repairs and health and safety. Coordinate Out Of Hours emergency repairs services. Advise and support roles associated with CRM, Capita, DRS, Open Contractor, and Service Connect. Work closely with the Repairs Manager and Head of Service. Develop systems and refine work processes. Provide effective leadership, support, and motivation to staff. Ensure staff are recruited, trained, managed, appraised, and developed effectively. Promote and represent the organization at all levels.
Qualifications: A relevant health and safety, fire safety, or CDM qualification.
