We have partnered with an exciting global leading engineering organisation, looking to appoint a Health and Safety Lead within a test department at this unique site in Oxfordshire. The Role of Health and Safety Lead:
- Develop and continually improve the H&S strategy within the department
- Be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and setting long-term goals
- Drive cultural change, bringing H&S to the forefront
- Develop and improve bespoke risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Ensure standards are maintained and continually improved
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing, or R&D environment
- Previous aviation experience is highly desirable
- NEBOSH General, ideally Diploma or working towards
- Certified Membership of IOSH (CertIOSH) is required; Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) is advantageous
- Knowledge of COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, with understanding of explosives regulations being highly desirable
- An engineering background is highly desirable
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to engage at all levels
