We are working with a global leader in electronic appliance manufacturing in their search for a Head of Logistics . In this role, you will be responsible for empowering your team to develop them as a unit and as individuals, as well as overseeing the Logistics, Warehousing, and Transport, including multiple 3PL sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Logistics function for the entirety of the UK – Oversee and manage the entire logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation and distribution processes, developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance, and coordinating with 3PL providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Managing multiple 3PL sites for D2C initiatives – Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, including negotiating contracts and service agreements, ensuring 3PL providers meet company standards for delivery times, cost, and quality, as well as conducting regular performance reviews and audits of 3PL providers.
- Intralogistics and warehouse management – Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate and efficient stock management, implement inventory management systems and practices to minimize excess inventory and reduce costs, and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Training and development of employees within the logistics/warehouse functions.
