Job Title: Gym Manager

This role requires an inspirational leader with proven flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy, and determination to drive and develop the business. We\’re looking for a manager with experience in developing the standards and reputation of a gym, nurturing a growing membership base and team.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
2. Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
3. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks; report and address all defects to ensure the building and equipment are safe.
4. Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure operational coverage and meet daily expectations.
5. Hold regular team meetings to support development and communication.
6. Work towards and achieve set sales and membership targets.
7. Drive and maximize secondary revenue streams.
8. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the gym facility.
9. Ensure in-house cleaners meet cleanliness standards; manage weekly banking to minimize wastage and maximize profit.
10. Ensure all team members adhere to uniform standards.
11. Create an enjoyable environment for the team at work.
12. Represent JD Gyms as an ambassador at all times.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven management experience within the leisure industry.
• Passionate about customer service and inspirational leadership.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Successful track record in driving sales, local marketing, recruiting, and team management.
• Experience as a General Manager or Fitness Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility is preferred.
