Gas Safety Registered Engineer – Maintenance Department

We are seeking a Gas Safety Registered Engineer to join our Maintenance team, responsible for ensuring compliance and conducting inspections of our properties.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Install, service, and maintain gas heating systems and appliances in HMO properties.
2. Perform annual gas safety checks and issue safety certificates.
3. Diagnose and repair faults on boilers and other gas appliances.
4. Ensure compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations and other relevant legislation.
5. Liaise with coordinators and compliance officers to schedule visits and complete work promptly.
6. Provide advice and guidance on gas safety and energy efficiency.
7. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
8. Respond to emergency call-outs for gas leaks or related issues.
9. Collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver comprehensive services.

Skills & Knowledge

• Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing gas heating systems and appliances.
• Excellent understanding of current gas regulations and standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for interacting with tenants and staff.
• Full clean UK driving license.

Ideal but not Essential

• Experience working in an HMO or residential property management setting.
• Additional qualifications in plumbing or heating engineering.
• Possession of own professional-grade tools and equipment for gas engineering tasks.
