Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, this FTC role will help lead & support the Budget & Forecast Process, provide weekly & monthly Sales & Margin reporting, assess New Product Development & provide outstanding business partnering to support commercial decision-making across the company, driving real value and efficiencies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support of annual budgeting, forecasting and planning process over the course of the financial year, providing in-depth analysis of key channels and business drivers.
  • Deliver clear, actionable management information, including the preparation of weekly reports and monthly Board packs, to inform performance improvement.
  • Support the Director of Commercial Finance with the five-year planning process.
  • Run the weekly and monthly margin reporting process, providing robust analysis and partnering with B&M to identify variances to Budget & last year.
  • Support the New Product Development process to assess the ROI of new products.
  • Support the automation and systemisation of margin reporting.
  • Support the Buying & Merchandising (B&M) function with ad-hoc analysis.
  • Support the Commercial Finance team with month end & ad-hoc tasks, including weekly reporting & monthly profitability analysis.
  • Provide accurate commercial and financial analysis in order to provide insights that support the business growth and strategic plans.

Key skills and experience:

  • Established career in commercial finance.
  • ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
  • Experience (ideally) of omnichannel and multi-product retailing, twinned with a love of food, hospitality and customer service.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work across a varied group of stakeholders, including non-financial.
  • Strategic and creative thinker, with strong people skills, evidenced by strong IQ and EQ.
