CK Group is recruiting for a Formulation Technical Readiness Lead to join a global Consumer Healthcare company based in Reading, on a 12-month contract.
Company: Our client is a well-known global consumer healthcare business with household brands.
Location: Reading, United Kingdom
Role: Act as an expert in formulation and technology aspects across various forms (tablets, softgels, gummies, powders, liquids), ensuring technical rigor and compliance with EU and local regulations. Define learning plans with Contract Manufacturers to address complex formulation questions, including product/formula preparation, physical determinations, product performance, and stability. Ensure Technical Product Development readiness for projects supporting the Personal Health Care portfolio, delivered on time. Provide technology and formulation advice within medicinal product development projects in Europe. Perform product feasibility assessments and technical activities from product development with CMs. Determine product development strategy, including due diligence, risk assessment, and IP strategy. Design and execute learning plans to evaluate technology introduction for breakthrough benefits or cost innovation.
Your Background: Degree in Life sciences or related field with proven experience in formulation and technology roles within consumer healthcare or similar regulated industries. Experience with manufacturing and packaging processes in regulated environments; knowledge of tablets, soft and hard gel capsules, and oral liquids is desirable. Strong project management skills to ensure project readiness and standards. Proficiency in scientific methods for building, executing, and reporting technical learning plans. Proficiency in formulation and specification tools and systems.
