Brook Street is pleased to offer a full-time, on-site temporary position within the Ministry of Justice in Gloucester (GL1 1DQ) as a Fines Officer. The role offers a high likelihood of extension, working Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, at an hourly rate of £11.59.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide administrative support to the court to ensure effective enforcement of monetary orders.
2. Utilize Outlook, Word, Excel, and bespoke government systems to input case details, prepare, and process paperwork.
3. Use government tools for tracing offenders and undertake telephone debt recovery to enforce court orders.
4. Make decisions regarding enforcement actions for defaulters.
5. Respond to inquiries, correspondence, and undertake general administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and archiving.
6. Liaise with other agencies and parties to gather information, check facts, and enforce judicial decisions.

Candidate Profile

We seek resilient, resourceful, and adaptable individuals with experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize workloads, adapt to changing priorities, and focus on customer service. The role requires successful candidates to undergo 3 years of referencing and a Standard DBS check.
