Job Description:
A leading global private equity infrastructure fund is seeking a Financial Controller for a 12-month maternity cover role. The finance and operations team is a tight-knit group, and the incoming hire will replace the current Financial Controller, who is taking maternity leave this summer. To ensure a smooth transition, the firm is initiating this process early and targeting a September start date to allow for a comprehensive handover period.
This diverse role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the management company and its subsidiaries. Key responsibilities encompass financial reporting, tax compliance, forecasting and budgeting, treasury management, directorships, insurance, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing monthly reporting packs
- Leading the seasonal audit process
- Preparing the annual budget
- Managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and treasury (including FX hedging)
- Overseeing regulatory reporting
- Supervising accounts payable and receivable processes
- Reviewing tax returns
- Supporting ongoing and upcoming projects
- Enhancing internal processes wherever possible
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with approximately 3-5 years of PQE
- Proven experience in a similar financial control role in a similar environment (private equity preferred but will consider wider asset management)
- Must have the right to work in the UK and sponsorship is not available
The firm offers a competitive compensation package around £80-90,000, along with a completion bonus and access to a comprehensive benefits package. The firm supports a hybrid working environment.
