Job Description:

Altum Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading health charity dedicated to funding research, providing support, and advocacy for a range of health conditions that affect millions. The organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner (Part-Time, 0.8 FTE) on an initial six-month contract to provide financial insight and strategic support to one of its five key directorates. This role offers a competitive salary (pro-rata) with hybrid working (1 day per week in the London office).

As the Finance Business Partner, your role will involve:

  • Partnering with a key directorate to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making.
  • Leading on budgeting and forecasting , ensuring accurate and timely financial planning.
  • Building strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, translating financial data into meaningful insights to drive performance.
  • Supporting financial reporting and contributing to strategic financial planning for the organisation.
  • Ensuring efficient use of financial systems and supporting process improvements where needed.

The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or close to qualifying with relevant experience.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Have experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis .
  • Be proficient in finance systems with a keen eye for process improvements.
  • Have a genuine interest in the charity sector and a passion for making an impact.
