Finance Assistant – Bradford

Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting a new role of Finance Assistant for a fantastic professional services business based in Bradford. The team is growing and looking to add a new member.

This role requires someone with previous finance experience who is early in their study journey.

Key Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Conduct overhead and variance analysis
• Prepare ad-hoc reports
• Handle month-end processing and switch over
• Manage residual balances
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Post petty cash transactions and reconcile
• Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Input purchase ledger invoices into the system
• Perform general administration tasks as required
• Produce ad-hoc MI using Excel
• Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to partnership finances & client accounts
• Assist with auditors\’ requests

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working within a finance function

Studying towards professional accountancy qualifications
