An exciting opportunity awaits! We are looking for a dedicated Exam Manager to join our team at a coeducational secondary school and sixth form in Hackney. This role is ideal for an organised professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the smooth running of all internal and external exams. As the Exam Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ success and maintaining a structured exam environment.

As the Exam Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all exam-related processes within the school. This includes ensuring compliance with exam board regulations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting both students and staff throughout the examination periods.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage the entire exam schedule, including mock exams, GCSEs, and other assessments.
  2. Liaise with exam boards to ensure all entries are made accurately and on time.
  3. Oversee the setup of examination rooms and organise exam invigilation teams.
  4. Ensure all exam policies and procedures are strictly followed.
  5. Coordinate access arrangements for students with additional needs.
  6. Manage the secure storage and distribution of exam materials.
  7. Support students, staff, and parents with information on examination processes and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as an Exam Manager or in an exams administration role.
  2. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  3. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and external contacts.
  4. Proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, and other IT systems.
  5. High attention to detail and understanding of exam board regulations.
