We are happy to be working with an impressive global law firm, currently looking for an Events Specialist to join the firm on a month contract.

The Role

In this role, you will be working in a very hands-on position to carry out a range of work across client events, seminars, receptions, round tables, and virtual programs. Furthermore, you\’ll be working to support diversity, talent, and alumni events. You will need to support the associate director in the successful management and organisation of client events across EMEA and North America as required (including overseas travel).

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Acting as lead project manager for events, from initial creative design and pre-planning stages to on-site execution.
  • Successfully choosing venues and processing contracts with the Procurement team.
  • Preparing event proposals, managing budgets, and processing all related payments and invoices.
  • Liaising with stakeholders about invitations and mailing lists.
  • Providing support and training when required to members of the global events team.
  • Updating all stakeholders on progress.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Coordinating the purchase and distribution of promotional items and client gifts.
  • Working with vendors and catering contacts.
  • Performing any other ad hoc duties as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience with event planning, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
