The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of engineering technicians to ensure that all planned and corrective maintenance is completed in the most efficient and safest manner possible. Having direct oversight of day-to-day planned and unplanned maintenance activities, you will provide feedback to stakeholders in both Engineering and Operations departments on the status and progress of all engineering work. You will work closely with other engineering functions to drive efficiency in the execution of all maintenance work, including planned and unplanned maintenance, capital projects, and continuous improvement activities. You will be expected to use Root Cause and problem-solving techniques to eliminate repeat issues that decrease manufacturing equipment uptime. You will report to our Engineering Team Leader.
Responsibilities
- Under general direction, plans, schedules work performed in assigned areas to ensure maximum uptime of equipment.
- Oversees activities of technicians assigned to work areas to assure compliance with Company, GMP, and legal compliance.
- Maintains planned work schedules and handles emergency work resulting from rendering of required services.
- Manages work order system within the area of responsibility.
- Ensures necessary inventories of equipment and supplies are available.
- Acts as contractor controller and ensures all contract work is reviewed and completed in a safe manner.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or HNC in a related field.
- Substantial experience in the Engineering field, preferably in the pharmaceutical, food, or chemical processing industry.
- Functional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facilities.
