The role

In this role you will lead the provision of day-to-day contract management services from within the Asset Maintenance Operations team. This person will act as the central point of contact for all 3rd party services contracted by the team, and support the shaping of the maintenance execution strategy, KPIs, and SLAs at Manchester Airport.

The contracts manager will work in partnership with the Airport Senior Engineering Managers to ensure maximum availability of key assets and liaise with peers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to continually review maintenance activities. The role also involves providing stakeholders with expert advice on asset performance, failures, and maintenance requirements, while providing a high level of customer service with a particular focus on contractor performance.

What will make you successful in the role?

The successful candidate for this position should have at least 5 years of experience in Contract Management or a related environment, with formal Finance or Commercial accreditation. They should have demonstrable experience in building Business Plans and managing finances, as well as the ability to develop business cases and present them to the Senior Leadership Team. The candidate should also have the ability to manage budgets and personnel, possess strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and have an understanding of MAG’s vision. Additionally, the candidate should have influencing and negotiating skills to motivate multidisciplinary networks towards a common goal, the potential to stimulate and manage change, and excellent communication skills to present a case briefly and logically.
