With our continued success in business growth, we are expanding our Project Development team and have an opportunity for an Energy Analyst to join us to develop a wide range of clean technologies and renewable projects. This is an existing position within the development team. The successful candidate will support work assignments covering technical analysis and project development deliverables for our customers in both public and private sectors. This involves energy data analysis and modelling, feasibility studies, site energy audit support, coordination with stakeholders, configuration of draft reports and assisting in internal work process improvement. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of the energy efficiency and renewable energy sector, possess strong analytical skills, be an adept user of IT and software systems, be proficient in Microsoft Excel and digital graphic software, such as Sketchup, familiar with Renewable Energy design tools and be willing to travel nationwide on a regular basis. Workplace experience engaged in a similar activity for 6-12 months would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compilation of site information including utility data, metering data, field measurements, existing system configuration and operation, and service reports
- Perform desktop data analysis including energy usage analysis, energy modelling, benchmarking, GIS analysis and building heat loss analysis
- Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analysis across various renewable and clean technologies
- Assist in energy audits and site surveys to identify Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) at potential customer sites
- Assist with preparation of capital cost and energy savings models including EPC, PPA and EaaS
- Liaise with client stakeholders and arrange site attendance with contractors
- Prepare draft technical reports and presentation material and manage project supporting documentation detailing buildings, building systems, data analysis results and energy savings opportunities
- Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Deliver other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Engineering degree, or equivalent preferably in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical
- Minimum one year experience working in energy, renewables, or decarbonisation
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Good verbal, written and computer communication skills
- Experience with one or more energy modelling software or programming languages advantageous

They should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines. A team player with the ability to work in fast-paced environment across multiple projects. The job requires the willingness to travel across the UK while based in Guildford, London, Bristol or Scotland.
