Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Be responsible for the health and safety of the commissioning phase of the project.
  2. Develop relationships with the client to ensure a smooth delivery and handover.
  3. Responsible for providing the Commissioning Manager & Project Manager with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary.
  4. Ensure the electrical installation is to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers’ best practice.
  5. Demonstrate leadership skills to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the company.
  6. Produce and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all electrical installation-based activities.
  7. Assist the production of electrical installation plans, inspection test plans, and training manuals.
  8. Co-ordinate with the systems integration team to carry out all Site Acceptance Tests and Telemetry commissioning.
  9. Review P&ID diagrams and provide strategies to commission plant and equipment into existing processes in line with client specifications without compromising process and reducing risk.
  10. Attendance at site meetings with representatives from our clients’ engineering and operational teams.
  11. The electrical installation, interfacing, and setting to work of equipment.
  12. Undertake or supervise the NICEIC electrical installation testing to C& G 2391 as requested.
  13. Demonstration of electrical installations of plant to our clients’ representatives to gain plant sign-off prior to takeover.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. City & Guilds – Level 3 Certificate in the requirements for electrical installations BS7671 18th edition 2382-18.
  2. C&G 2365 Electrical essential, 2394 & 2395 Inspection & Testing (desirable).
  3. City & Guilds – AM2 (Achievement measured test) qualification.
  4. City & Guilds – Combined 2391-52 initial and periodic inspection & testing qualifications or equivalent (desirable).
  5. Ability to communicate internally and externally at all levels.
  6. IT literate and confident using full Office 365 suite.
  7. Knowledge of health and safety legislation regarding safe work practice.
  8. SSSTS / SMSTS.
  9. CSCS card.
  10. 1st Aid trained.
  11. Significant industrial electrical installation background with some commissioning experience.
  12. Understanding the importance of promoting a safety culture on site.

Salary: £46,000 – 55,000 Per Annum
