We're hiring experienced LV/MV electrical engineers, mid-career to senior, and UK-wide. It means you have plenty of choices to really boost your career by joining our Nuclear and Clean Power businesses. Our Net Zero team is recruiting for LV and MV electrical engineers to work within our Energy Storage and Power and Industrial Assets (P&IA) teams.

Typical projects include:

  • Greenfield Hydrogen generation, storage, and transmission
  • Thermal power plant modifications
  • Asset life extension and decarbonisation
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)

There is also the potential to support key national infrastructure sites – including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, and nuclear fusion projects (ITER, UKAEA); and on energy networks including the National Grid Design & Project Services framework.

Full project lifecycle experience would be advantageous, and knowledge may include power system studies, calculations, electrical equipment specification and selection, electrical design deliverables in compliance with client, regional, national, and international electrical standards. Experience with Aveva and Amtech software would also be beneficial.

With us, your opportunities are endless. We have a strong pipeline of projects which means a wealth of opportunity both now and in the future to develop your career across the spectrum – from design, commissioning, support, project management and more.

If you're looking for variety in an interesting and significant role where you can develop your skills, you can have it all. Passionate about engineering better for our planet and its people? These roles are making a huge impact on carbon net zero.

Together, we’re strengthening the UK’s nuclear capacity as well as driving innovation in renewables – this shared commitment to achieving CNZ targets in the UK brings us all together; we're visibly and actively engineering a better future.

As long as you live within an hour's commute of your office location (per each job description) and are comfortable with coming in 2-3 days a week, we'll give you all the flexibility you need.

Why work for AtkinsRéalis? The UK is the first major economy to legislate for a Net Zero target by 2050. To achieve this, our nuclear and clean energy teams are ensuring a mix of secure and sustainable energies that can meet our industry and lifestyle demands today, and in 30 years' time.

We help to power our world through exciting new technologies and intelligent cybersecurity systems on projects that vary greatly in size, scope, and scale. So, you'll be creating the right safe and resilient systems across nuclear power, renewables, decarbonisation development, new builds and energy efficiency.

Meeting your needs: When you start with us, you'll enjoy 'Total Reward,' a package that can be tailored to your lifestyle, career and personal needs. From flexible holidays to life assurance, health & wellbeing benefits, and career planning for the senior stage of your career. Making sure you're supported is important to us. This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
