About Our Client
Our client is a growing MAT, with ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months. The organisation is strongly values-based, and this role will support the CEO in driving efficiencies and improving working life within the trust to ensure they are an employer of choice. You will manage a team of 10 across HR, Estates, and IT, overseeing operational and day-to-day running of the trust, allowing you to focus on strategic development.
Job Description
The Director of HR & Operations will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for HR and Operations functions.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead recruitment, retention, and staff development initiatives.
- Oversee management of facilities.
- Develop and manage the operational budget.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
This role is part of the Senior Leadership team, ensuring a voice in decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience leading HR and Operations in an educational setting, preferably within a Multi-Academy Trust.
- Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent understanding of HR practices and employment law.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- A Level 7 CIPD or Level 7 ILM/CMI qualification.
