Prospero Teaching is seeking a Deputy Head of English for an Ofsted Good Secondary school located in Waltham Forest, East London.

The school is a medium-sized mainstream secondary school with a supportive department. It is consistently improving and offers CPD opportunities throughout the year. While the school has a sixth form, the majority of this role\’s timetable will focus on Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This position is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, the school may extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum Deputy Head experience in the UK
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year

Eligibility Criteria

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
