In-House Data Centre Multi-Skilled HVAC & Air Conditioning Engineer

£45k + Bonus + Pension, Days Only (North West London)

In this exciting and strategic role you will be responsible for:

  • Operating and maintaining all mechanical, and HVAC equipment and systems under a rigorous change management system to maintain 100% uptime availability.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting site/plant equipment support systems to include logging and responding to incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution, and all other aspects of site support (mechanical, HVAC, generators, fire alarms, and suppression etc).
  • Utilising maximum capabilities of all operational systems including BMS, PMS, CMS.
  • Managing sub-contracted resources, as necessary, to deliver a safe and quality service to the business.
  • Completing site documentation before and after work tasks, as appropriate.
  • Management, delivery, and oversight of the site Permit to Work (PtW) system.
  • As part of initial project planning period, develop a stakeholder engagement plan for the internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Deliver the stakeholder engagement plan, ensuring stakeholders understand how they should contribute to the project, and the planned frequency of engagement.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of data centre HVAC systems including chillers/split AC units and associated plant equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (English) skills essential.
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving complex issues through Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Knowledge of BMS systems.
  • Good understanding of PPM/CAFM systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting/repair of mechanical/HVAC systems.
  • Experience of maintaining Pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, (DHW skids), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean steam Boilers, Purified Water Systems, CIP systems, Generators and other associated systems.
