You will be working within the Welshernment\’s historic environment service, contributing to an accessible and well-protected historic environment for Wales.

Your new role

You will work as a Custodian on a part-time, rota basis, covering 1 day per week. Your responsibilities include greeting and servicing visitors, managing admissions, and assisting in the on-site shop by selling souvenirs. You will handle cash transactions and ensure the float is balanced. Additionally, you will check the site each morning to ensure it is ready to accept visitors.

What you\’ll need to succeed

• Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you\’ll be interacting with visitors constantly. Ability to communicate in Welsh is also required.
• Experience operating a till is desirable; experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail is essential.
• You must be flexible with working hours, as additional hours, weekends, and bank holidays may be required.
