What You\’ll Be Doing
- Managing your own caseload of Court of Protection (Welfare) matters, including contested and litigated cases.
- Supporting senior solicitors on complex or high-value proceedings.
- Representing clients in disputes involving residence, care, contact, medical treatment, and deprivation of liberty.
- Building strong relationships with advocacy groups, charities, and referrers to deliver exceptional service and drive new instructions.
- Contributing to a supportive team culture with a shared commitment to excellence and social impact.
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor (NQ-3 years\’ PQE) with experience or demonstrable interest in Court of Protection (Welfare) work.
- A genuine passion for public law, human rights, and access to justice.
- Education law experience is desirable.
- Strong advocacy, litigation, and case management skills.
- Emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to support clients in vulnerable circumstances.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a desire to grow within a progressive firm.
