We are seeking a Council Tax Officer to join our Revenues collection service on a temporary, full-time basis. This hybrid role involves assessing and collecting council tax, delivering customer-focused collection services, and working effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing customer accounts, including account setup, maintenance, review, and assessment of discounts, disregards, exemptions, and payment arrangements.
  • Managing pre- and post-court work and bailiff enquiries.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and corporate policies while engaging effectively with vulnerable or challenging customers to maximize collection.
