Job Title: Corrugated Structural Designer/Estimator – SE

This role is ideally suited to an experienced corrugated structural designer who would like to get more involved in the commercial side of the business whilst maintaining their involvement in the more creative side of the business.
The successful candidate will be part of the commercial team and the main focus is the design of corrugated packaging with subsequent estimating leading to setting of selling prices.
Responsibilities include:
- Using AG CAD and Artois CAD software to design corrugated packaging for customers supplying the industrial and consumer markets, and where appropriate liaising with manufacturing to ensure that all designs can be produced economically.
- Acquiring an understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in the production of corrugated packaging at all sites.
- Utilising Packaging 3000 software to generate estimates for clients.
- Creating simple print diagrams in Adobe Illustrator.
- Developing and utilising commercial knowledge and judgement to finalize price estimates.
- Analysing customer tenders using Excel and recommending pricing levels to senior managers.
