Security Officer Role at Data Centre

ICTS is seeking reliable and technologically savvy Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of premises and personnel at our new Data Centre client in the Hillingdon area.

The role involves a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, with 12-hour shifts covering both day and night hours.

ICTS is rapidly establishing itself as the leading Security provider for Data Centres in the UK and offers competitive wages reflective of this position.

As an experienced Security Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing access control for buildings and car parks for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Patrolling premises, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect issues.
  • Checking and challenging ID passes professionally and courteously.
  • Activating/deactivating alarms and locking/unlocking buildings, rooms, barriers, and gates to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Monitoring fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV.
  • Identifying and reporting Health & Safety concerns and administering first aid if necessary.
  • Responding to customer requests and queries.
  • Maintaining incident reports and records using both digital and paper systems.

An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is required. To succeed in this role, you should also have:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Experience in a customer-facing security role.
  • Five years of checkable employment history and references.
  • Ability to pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.

Additional useful but non-essential qualifications include:

  • SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license.
  • Experience in similar security roles.
