Our client is a well-respected player in the Energy sector with a growing legal team.
Job Description
- Draft and negotiate corporate contracts
- Manage corporate transactions, including M&A, corporate governance, data protection, and non-disclosure agreements
- Continuously improve and develop client contractual templates and processes, and provide training to the wider business
- Coordinate with local counsel in various markets regarding local laws and compliance, including the incorporation and setup of subsidiary offices
- Interpret laws to ensure compliance with UK and international legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide advice on business transactions with customers, financial institutions, shareholders, directors, officers, and others
The Successful Applicant
A successful Corporate Counsel should have:
- At least 3 years PQE within a corporate practice at a law firm or in-house
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of company law fundamentals
- Excellent judgment, preferably with experience advising senior management and stakeholders
- Strong negotiating skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to balance legal considerations
- Strong presentation skills with experience providing legal training
What\’s on Offer
