Contract Data Engineer
£500 per day OUTSIDE OF IR35
6 months (with renewal opportunity)

WRK digital are delighted to be partnered with a leading Technical Consultancy who are looking for contract data engineers to join a new project team in Leeds.

You will be working with an expert team who are playing a huge part in ensuring their client takes full advantage of the data they capture and help build out a new Azure platform to further their capabilities.

Experience

1. You will have good experience of Azure Data Factory and would be confident coaching existing team members who are not experienced with the tools yet.
2. Advanced skills in Databricks for data engineering tasks, including experience with Delta Lake, data processing, and optimization.
3. Proficiency in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts.

Tech Stack

ADF, Databricks combination building out a Lakehouse architecture and utilising DeltaLake and DeltaLive tables, Unity Catalog and Purview for the metadata capture.

Other Tooling

1. Azure DevOps will be used for version control and promotions between environments.
2. JIRA will be used for task management.

You will have worked in a Scrum or Agile Framework environment.
