Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the East Midlands to help recruit a Consultant Rheumatologist for a substantive or a 12 Month fixed term contract. The Trust is one of the largest employers in the area and are on an exciting journey. With over 15,000 staff, they provide a range of national and international specialist services and are at the forefront of new procedures and research programmes. The Trust is going through an exciting period with a major new capital build redevelopment programme.
The successful candidate will be part of a University Teaching Hospital and join an established team of over 6 pure rheumatologists and 2 acute physician rheumatologists. The post holder will be encouraged to develop specialist interests to complement those in the department. The division also has 5 Specialist Registrars training in the department. There is a nurse consultant, a prescribing rheumatology pharmacist, specialist nursing staff and an experienced wider MDT.
This is a pure Rheumatology job with no GIM commitments; however, the option to participate in acute medicine shifts, and therefore allowing candidates to maintain their accreditation in medicine, is offered and encouraged.
