Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• MRCP (UK) or an equivalent qualification
• SCE in respiratory medicine
• GMC Registration

Desirable criteria

• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Respiratory and General Internal Medicine via CCT or CESR (proposed CCT date within 6 months of interview)

Experience

Essential criteria

• Satisfactory training in and experience of General Internal Medicine
• Involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate education

Ability and Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Wide knowledge of Respiratory and General Internal Medicine; able to give expert opinion

Clinical Skills and Technical Skills

Essential criteria

• Independent bronchoscopy and pleural skills including ultrasound

Desirable criteria

• EBUS or thoracoscopy
