I'm looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join my client, a rail/civil engineering subcontractor who is working on a major infrastructure project based in West London. This contract will include civil works in a rail environment, drainage, track, concrete, route works, and more. Ideally, I am looking for someone at a Construction Manager level who has experience managing sites and gangs to ensure work is delivered correctly. My client is looking for a candidate to join them on a freelance contract which could continue to 2030.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Project Management team.
  • Setting up and managing the construction.
  • Ensuring the project is on time and within budget.
  • Liaising with the client.
  • Weekly and monthly planning and forecasting.
  • Reporting errors or omissions in a timely manner through shift reports.
  • Ensuring all personnel under your control are fully briefed and work in a safe manner.
  • Following plans to achieve planned outcomes within possessions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience from working on the tools.
  • Previous experience working on rail projects.
  • A valid CSCS card, SSSTS, or SMSTS.
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
