Construction Engineering Graduate Programme

(3 years Fixed Term Contract)

£32,500 salary, £2,000 welcome bonus, £500 Flex allowance plus bonus and benefits

What is the Graduate Programme?

Lasting 3 years, the programme will facilitate professional development and exposure to real-life Construction projects in a 24/7 live operational environment. Investing in Growth and Service…. Shaping the future together!

Tailored to suit you, you will be able to give your best and redefine what’s possible. Being involved in live projects that deliver what matters. Part of the programme will include a leadership development module with the other graduates and a dedicated coach (a senior leader from the business) who will help to build resilience in the workplace.

Construction will deliver the airport Capital Investment Plan and strategic growth by building our future infrastructure. As passenger numbers rise, it’s vital we grow our infrastructure capacity but deliver our sustainability goals.

You will play a part in this growth working across a wide variety of business areas and projects that cover every aspect of the airport ecosystem. Surface access, car parks, terminal buildings, or out on our airfield, the opportunity and range of interest are there for you to explore.

You will gain a unique insight into the inner workings of our business and our leaders through our Sponsor-led Capital Investment Programme.

The role will also involve you:

  • Building a wide range of contacts internally and externally
  • Developing your design management, construction management, and project management skills through being involved in complex projects in a constrained operational environment
  • Working on £multi-million projects and being involved from inception through to design, construction, handover, and completion.
  • Being part of a supportive and collaborative team working together to deliver infrastructure projects
  • Rotating across Construction and Engineering and experiencing different roles across different Programmes

What will you gain?

  • Online assessments to demonstrate your strengths and the necessary behaviours to be successful
  • If successful a virtual 1st stage screening call
  • An assessment centre with group and individual activities as well as a behaviour-based interview with the opportunity to meet managers and explore the airport.
