Job Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
I am seeking a Construction Director or Operations Director with a strong background working for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK. This role is ideal for someone who has reached a glass ceiling in their current position and is looking for the next step up to Construction Director level. Candidates should have experience at the Contracts Manager level or similar within this sector.
The role involves overseeing operations across multiple live sites involving concrete frames, groundwork, and basements, with project values ranging from £5m to £50m. You will work closely with top management and will be responsible for developing site teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and safety standards. You will also contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery.
The company boasts an exceptional team across operations, technical, safety, engineering, commercial, and preconstruction disciplines, renowned for their technical expertise and professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role or be ready to step into one, with a strong background in concrete frame, groundwork, and basement subcontracting within the UK. The client values stability and long-term commitment, so candidates with stable employment histories are preferred. A degree in civil engineering or construction management is expected.
