The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and collaborative statutory team within a mid-tier accountancy firm, undertaking a wide range of company secretarial responsibilities. This hybrid role offers a mix of home and office-based working, with an initial induction period in the London office. This is a forward-thinking and evolving organisation that places people at the centre of its business. It offers exciting opportunities for growth, hands-on training, and support from experienced professionals. Team members are empowered to develop both professionally and personally in a culture where their voices are heard, and their contributions are truly valued.
Your new role
The role involves delivering comprehensive company secretarial services, including routine compliance and event-driven transactions, while ensuring the maintenance of accurate statutory records using Diligent Entities (Blueprint). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including the Companies Act and PSC legislation. They will liaise effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders, manage documentation and filings, and maintain strong client relationships. Additionally, the role includes supporting business development initiatives, contributing to departmental standards and policies, assisting with ad-hoc projects, and providing cover during staff absences.
Please note, for senior-level candidates, there will also be an expectation to mentor and support junior team members.
What you\’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years of UK company secretarial experience within a professional services environment and be either qualified, part-qualified, or actively working towards qualification with the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI UK). A strong understanding of the Companies Act, Companies House reforms, and the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Companies House online portals are required, while experience with Diligent Entities (Blueprint) is preferred. The role demands excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, along with the ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively. High attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and a flexible, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach are also key attributes of success in this position.
What you\’ll get in return
The organisation offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that supports lifestyle, health, wellbeing, professional development, and financial security. Highlights include an additional day off to celebrate your birthday, access to the Work Life Well platform, and participation in in-house mentoring schemes, amongst many other perks. The role is based on a hybrid working model, combining the flexibility of remote work with the collaboration of office-based days in London. Employees thrive in a positive, forward-thinking environment that values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous growth.
The salary for this position is market competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
