The Green Recruitment Company have been exclusively engaged by a UK leading developer, owner, and operator of Renewable Energy Assets in the UK – to support their continued growth across the UK. In addition to the existing portfolio, the business has an affluent project pipeline to develop & construct ≤15 further assets. Each project is valued at circa £25m. The Business comprises a high pedigree of renewable energy professionals, however, in keeping with their ambitions seek an astute & experienced Communications & Engagement specialist to join the business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Community engagement lead in support of project planning & development of renewable energy pipeline, with a particular focus on opposition resolution if/as required.
- Act as the main press contact and media liaison for the company, responding to press inquiries promptly as spokesperson, and setting up interviews with relevant decision-makers in the business.
- Take ownership & create engaging press releases, articles, newsletters, and marketing materials on related developments, projects & partnerships.
- Lead on the development & implementation of the Company's multi-media communications strategy.
- Plan and manage design for internal/external marketing materials.
- Develop & design communication strategies for stakeholders, NGOs, Local Governments, Landowners, and policymakers & build customer recognition.
- Work collaboratively to instigate new ideas & strategies, to remain current & forward-thinking.
- Build relationships at all levels with Stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree educated – strong preference towards Communications, Journalism, and Public Relations.
- Demonstrated experience leading community engagement linked to infrastructure development projects (Highly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience working within a similar role, within Renewable Energy, Bioenergy, Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Sustainability, Circular Economy Waste Management, Largescale Processing, Manufacturing or Renewable Energy Infra (A Must).
- Experience creating targeted content.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Previous experience working in events (desirable).
