Commodities CTRM Engineer

We are seeking a Commodities CTRM Engineer to facilitate the delivery of a vendor E/CTRM platform and automate operational processes for our Commodities desk.

Technical Skills

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a backend Developer, focusing on Python (required) and/or C# (preferred)
• Experience designing and building backend applications from the design phase through implementation
• Experience with messaging solutions such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, etc.
• Skills in code optimization, performance tuning, and testing
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
• Understanding of full application development lifecycle (authentication, API integration, build process, testing, validation, state management)
• Experience with source code control systems like Git
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

Preferred Product Experience

• Experience with major E/CTRM vendor platforms such as Endur, Allegro, CXL, Entrade, Brady, etc.
• Knowledge of energy/commodity markets, including US and European Power, Gas, Oil, Coal, Metals, Emissions, etc.
• Understanding of OTC products like forwards, swaps, options, and swaptions
• Familiarity with securities and OTC trade lifecycle, asset servicing, and position management
• Knowledge of transaction reporting, reconciliation, exception management, and break resolution workflows

Regarding NY- and CA-based applicants, the starting salary range is $150,000 to $225,000 annually, depending on experience, business needs, and market conditions. The role may also include bonus potential and benefits.
