This role involves testing and validating Workday, ensuring a seamless transition, and providing ad-hoc support for day-to-day tasks during periods of high demand. The successful candidate will work closely with the WPP Workday team, Ogilvy’s lead Systems Accountant, Finance Lead, and the Senior Project Director to ensure that the desired output from the systems is maintained throughout the transition. Key Responsibilities: System Transition Management: Gain a thorough understanding of the new transactional processes within Workday that relate to Billing and WIP Management. Identify and raise any potential risks associated with the transition to ensure they are mitigated effectively. Data Management: Collaborate with the commercial team to assist in comprehensive data cleansing prior to the data transfer dates. Training and User Support: Attend all Workday training and implementation sessions to stay up to date with system functionalities and updates. Coordinate and attend user testing sessions to ensure that the system meets the operational needs of the users. Ad-hoc Support: Provide ad-hoc support to the Commercial Finance team during periods of high capacity demands to ensure continuity of finance operations. This may include: Billing, Closing down jobs, Chasing timesheets, Liaising with Finance team on supplier set ups, urgent payment requests, timesheet management, and Maconomy queries. Skills: An approachable, efficient person who is self-motivated and works well with both finance and non-finance staff. A methodical approach is required to do this role effectively. The role has a high level of repetitive tasks which need to be tackled with care and attention. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with Maconomy.
