Job Description:
To support the Head of Commercial Development in developing Commercial strategy and plans. Support in the development of new external partnerships and new products/propositions to deliver sustainable growth:
• Understand the Commercial Development plan and strategy
• Regularly monitor key output KPIs (including P&L, Customer and Conduct metrics) and engage with key stakeholders across the business to maintain alignment and drive delivery
• Conduct horizon scanning of the external landscape, review trends to identify threats and opportunities for the Cards Business
• Develop a high-level understanding of VBL systems and processes to support with integration activities with external partners
• Ensure new Partnerships and new products/propositions meet the needs of our target customers and comply with regulatory/reputational requirements – including tracking and monitoring these goals
• Produce business cases to support strategy proposals
• Influence key stakeholders, prioritise competing priorities and navigate organisational complexity
• Induct any new colleagues to the team and provide training where appropriate.
Experience required:
• At least 4-5 years’ experience working in a Financial Services organisation, ideally in a Product or Commercial function
• An understanding of the customer journey for credit cards, and the commercial and customer outcomes that are part of the credit card product
• Strong stakeholder management, with experience of working alongside multiple departments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to senior stakeholders
• Able to manage own work and small projects to react quickly to fast moving, demanding situations.
• Able to manage and interpret data to effectively measure and evidence outcomes and results.
• Educated to degree level or higher within a technical discipline or equivalent experience
