The Role

Due to continued success, Themis Recruit are seeking an exceptional associate with 2 to 4 years PQE to join the London-based Commercial Litigation team, focusing on disputes involving major technology companies. The successful candidate will work on a broad spectrum of matters—from regulatory investigations and international litigation to compliance advisory and product risk assessment—providing strategic legal counsel to some of the world’s most influential tech clients. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of law, technology, and global policy, advising on cutting-edge issues like online safety, intermediary liability, data protection, free speech, and more.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and implement litigation strategies across jurisdictions including the UK, EU, and beyond.
  • Advise on global regulatory matters, including investigations by OFCOM, the European Commission, and other international agencies.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments for new products, features, and policies.
  • Monitor and interpret legislation impacting technology companies worldwide.
  • Provide strategic counsel on issues such as content moderation, defamation, IP infringement, privacy, consumer protection, and contractual disputes.
  • Collaborate closely with international colleagues across practice areas including Antitrust, IP, ESG, and Arbitration.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of litigation and/or regulatory experience (private practice preferred).
  • Strong academic background and demonstrated interest in internet and tech law.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong judgment, business awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive team player with a collaborative approach and a client-first mindset.
