Verathon is looking for a Clinical Specialist for our respiratory and surgical line to become the newest member of our Sales Team located in the UK. The Clinical Specialist Respiratory, EMEA is responsible for providing clinical expertise during product demonstrations/product evaluations, drive product adoption through clinical education, and provide field sales training within the UK. (May also include training throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). The Clinical Specialist reports to the Country Manager, UK and assists with clinical sales support for our Respiratory and Surgical Solutions business unit and GlideScope product line, with special focus on Verathon’s BFlexTM single use bronchoscope. Verathon is the global market leader in video laryngoscopy and has a growing portfolio of respiratory and pulmonology product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Field Sales to provide technical and clinical support for customer appointments, product demonstrations, and product evaluations.
  • Attend patient cases and provide information as needed instructing physicians/clinical teams on the clinical workflow, benefits and applications of our airway and respiratory product line.
  • Help galvanize adoption of Verathon’s BFlex single use bronchoscope.
  • Assist in the creation of training content.
  • Facilitate training sessions to the sales team to improve clinical capability in the airway and respiratory arena.
  • Assist in the creation of training content for groups within the clinical setting to ensure all relevant hospital personnel are fully trained and qualified in the proper use of GlideScope products.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in product and clinical technical competencies to answer a wide range of questions regarding clinical airway and respiratory applications.
  • Serve as a resource for training field sales reps within EMEA region and other internal employees as needed.
  • Attend trade shows in partnership with our product marketing and field sales teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years clinical experience or technical knowledge of airway management and bronchoscopy devices required either as industry clinical representative or as member of hospital staff.
  • Experience in working with customers across multiple EU countries preferred.
  • Ability to create clear and concise business communications that demonstrate deep understanding of the market and company products.
  • Ability to synthesize and present product information in a very detailed, accurate, and comprehensible way.
  • Strong experience in clinical education and training.
  • Learn and improve clinical capabilities and product knowledge, including competitive offerings continuously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively with sales professionals and with a variety of customer types.
  • Effective at prioritizing, planning, and scheduling activities to accomplish objectives.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with common computer applications, such as MS Office, and CRM software.
  • Must be insurable and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to travel up to 75% overnight travel within EMEA region, primarily within the UK and Western Europe.
