Clinical Director – Strathaven, Scotland

Type: Small Animal

Location: South east of Glasgow, Scotland – Group Practice

Practice: The roots of the Veterinary Group originated from 1921, and their claim to fame is that their founding partner was the first to diagnose and report an LDA! They have been Avondale since 2005 and moved to a purpose-built small animal and equine facility in 2009.

Facilities: They currently have 5 consulting rooms, dental x-ray, ECG, and laparoscopic equipment. The practice is a very desirable place to work, with some of the best views, an incredibly spacious waiting room, large meeting room, and a great cafe within the agricultural centre adjacent to them.

Role: You will manage the small animal side of the practice alongside the practice manager, with the support of the farm and equine clinical directors, and the area director and support manager. You will be the small animal clinical lead in the practice, consulting with clients and performing surgeries.

Duties:

  1. Supporting the team to achieve best practices and deliver the best outcomes for their patients.
  2. Responsibility for the financial performance of the small animal side of the practice and supporting the team to reach their intended goals.
  3. Following policies and procedures and promoting this within the team.

Hours: They are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team as a full-time Clinical Director.

Salary: Salary up to £75,600 DOE plus a relocation allowance up to £2,000
